Ma-Ha Photography Father of the Bride

I was so blessed and honored to be able to photograph a wedding at Sierra Ridge Winery on May 4th of this year. I always think of it as an honor because for one they can choose anyone and they chose me and two, I get to be a part of some the most precious moments of a couples life. On this day I came in aware that the Father of the Bride was ill. I knew that things might be changed up because of it. We had seated him in a special section so he could walk his lovely daughter down the isle. It all went perfect. After the wedding, the couple went back to the wine room to sign the paperwork. The bride was told that her dad was going to leave because he wasn't up to staying. He came in to say goodbye. He hugged his daughter and posed for a few photos with her and the couple. Just before he left the Best Man had brought up the song that he was going to dance with his daughter to. So he danced a little and I captured a few more images. Now the photographer in me always wants the best location and the best lighting and..... but the soul of me was so overwhelmed by what I got to be a part of, that it humbles me. I would be lying if I said I didn't shed a tear or two myself while taking those photos. I found out that on May 30th, less than one month after the wedding, Robert Fine, father of the Bride lost his battle with cancer and went home to Heaven. So the photographer in me no longer cares that the settings weren't right because the soul in me is just so blessed that I got to take them. Thank you Tom and Jami for letting me share in some of your precious moments. God bless you Robert Fine.
